Our drivers attend the course each day Monday to Friday 10.00am – 2.30pmÂ
Online theory training 4:30pm – 6:30pmÂ
Your course starts from Queens Road, on Norwich’s inner ring road. On day one, your instructor will take you to a quiet residential area to start with the basics, before you begin learning in and around the city. As the week goes on, you’ll work through the St Stephens roundabout, bus lanes on the main routes into the city and the one-way streets around the centre, where cyclists and pedestrians share tight space.
Further out, the outer ring road links the city’s estates through a chain of large roundabouts and traffic lights. The A11 and the A47 southern bypass give you dual carriageway practice, and the Broadland Northway (NDR) adds 70mph driving with long slip roads. Rural roads outside the city bring national speed limit bends and farm traffic.
Norwich has one practical test centre for car and motorcycle tests, on Peachman Way at Broadland Business Park in Thorpe St Andrew, close to the A47 at Postwick. Your instructor can build the roads around Peachman Way into your intensive driving week.

Practical test is subject to pupil test readiness and availability. Bookings are the responsibility of the pupil but 5Day are happy to offer guidance.Â

Once you’ve passed your theory and you’re test-ready, we’ll guide you through booking your practical test
