Is 5Day Right For You?

Our intensive courses are designed for learners who want fast, focused and consistent training.

Before booking, it’s important to consider whether daily in-car tuition and theory sessions suit your learning style and availability.

As the programme is intensive, we’re unable to offer refunds if you later feel the format is too demanding – so it’s worth taking a moment to make sure it’s the right fit for you..

Frequently Asked Questions

An intensive driving course is a fast-track programme designed to help learners reach test standard in a short period of time, usually within one or two weeks. Instead of spreading lessons over months, you complete focused daily training with an instructor to build skills quickly and confidently.

Intensive driving courses combine structured daily driving lessons with theory test preparation. At 5Day, you complete five days of in-car tuition, online theory training and full support through your DVSA tests. Once you’re ready, we help you secure the earliest available practical test date.

Most intensive courses last one or two weeks. The 5Day Intensive Driving Course helps learners progress to test readiness within just five days of training, with further support supplied until you pass.

Yes. Automatic intensive driving courses are available at many 5Day centres across the UK. This is ideal for learners who want a simpler driving experience or prefer automatic vehicles.

Intensive courses are often more effective for learners who want to progress quickly without forgetting skills between lessons. They can also help many people save money compared to taking lessons spread over several months.

No, the course does not include an automatic test at the end. A practical test is only to be arranged by the learner once a DVSA-approved 5Day instructor confirms you are ready. This is a legal and safety requirement for use of a 5Day vehicle for the test.

If you believe you are ready, you are of course free to book and take a test in your own vehicle without instructor approval.

Due to ongoing DVSA delays, test availability can sometimes take months. Our dedicated team offer help and guidance to learners but learners must book and manage their own tests.
